Electrolux is excited to announce that we have been named an ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year for Product Manufacturer by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This award recognizes us for increasing the number of ENERGY STAR qualified appliances, and for helping educate consumers about the ENERGY STAR program. 
 
In 2010, Electrolux encouraged consumers to recycle old appliances and replace them with ENERGY STAR qualified appliances through the Swap and Save program. With your help, we ended up saving U.S. consumers more than $240 million dollars in energy costs and more than 7.4 billion gallons of water.

All of the Electrolux ENERGY STAR qualified kitchen and laundry appliances are at least 10% more energy-efficient than non-ENERGY STAR qualified appliances—with the dishwashers using at least 41% less energy and 40% less water than they did just 10 years ago. Electrolux also features over 30 refrigerators that exceed the minimum ENERGY STAR standards by 30% or more.

For extra efficiency in the laundry room, Electrolux offers eco-friendly washers that are up to 161% more energy-efficient1 and use 63% less water than washers a decade ago.2

Our environmental commitment extends to our operations as well. Recognized as the leader in Durable Household Products by the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, we’ve committed that by the end of 2012, our factories, offices and warehouses will use 28% less energy than in 2005 and we will have achieved a 25% reduction versus 2005 at the end of 2010. Additionally, Electrolux is working hard to reduce water usage and transportation emissions across the globe.
